At InfraTech Systems, we believe good IT should go hand in hand with responsibility — to our clients, our people, our communities, and the planet. This thinking extends to how we operate and, in the future, too. We’re serious about reducing our environmental impact — and we’ve committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2040. This target covers Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) guidelines and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) framework and goals, which defines and guides corporate climate action. It’s our way of contributing to the global effort to keep climate change below 1.5°C — and we’ve chosen to act a decade ahead of the UK’s 2050 goal.
Our sustainability priorities
We have identified seven key priorities for our sustainability plans from 17 UN SDGs, across the three key focus areas environmental, social and governance.
Our Environmental Approach - Saving The Planet

We play a vital role in safeguarding the planet — not only by providing sustainable services, but also by minimising our environmental impact in the process. We contribute towards SDG13 and SDG 9 of UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Getting to Net Zero by 2040 — One Step at a Time
We’re not claiming to have it all figured out, but we’ve got a clear plan and we’re taking real action – starting with the areas we can control and pushing further into the ones we can influence.
We’ve set an ambitious target for ourselves to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040, a full decade ahead of the UK government’s 2050 goal. This isn’t just a lofty aspiration; it’s a carefully crafted roadmap that touches every aspect of our operations
Scope 1, 2 & 3 — The Starting Point
We’ve kicked things off with the fundamentals — reducing the impact of our day-to-day operations along with reducing emissions across our supply chain and wider ecosystem is harder — but no less important. Here’s how we’re tackling it:
- Setting our 2024 emissions baseline
- Partnering with green-powered cloud providers
- Reducing our digital footprint and going paperless
- Implementing hybrid working to cut commuting emissions
- Transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles
- Reducing travel-related emissions by 40% through remote collaboration
- Engaging suppliers to reduce emissions across our value chain
