AI advisory for a healthcare technology organisation
A healthcare technology organisation wanted to embed AI into its care navigation platform, and needed to know what it would cost to run, govern and scale before committing to large-scale delivery.
We delivered a strategic AI advisory engagement focused on cost economics, governance and investment planning, so leadership could decide on evidence rather than assumptions.

Embedding AI without losing sight of the economics
A healthcare technology organisation was exploring how AI could be embedded into its care navigation platform while maintaining commercial viability, operational sustainability and long-term scalability.
Leadership needed a clear understanding of the economic impact of AI adoption, including cloud consumption, AI model usage, operational support requirements, governance obligations and future scaling considerations.
The organisation wanted independent advisory input, so that investment decisions were based on business value, cost transparency and sustainable operating models rather than technology assumptions.
An independent view of what AI would cost to run
We delivered a strategic AI advisory engagement focused on AI cost economics, governance and investment planning. Working with leadership stakeholders, we assessed the anticipated cost drivers across infrastructure, AI services, platform operations and support models, set out how AI spend could evolve as adoption increased, and identified where costs could be optimised without compromising capability or scalability. Six recommendations came out of it.
- 01
Govern
An AI governance framework to monitor consumption, usage patterns and operational risks. - 02
Track
AI and cloud cost visibility from the outset, so decisions are informed ones. - 03
Scale
Platform architecture aligned with long-term scalability and future growth objectives. - 04
Tune
Ongoing cost monitoring and optimisation practices for AI services and cloud resources. - 05
Run
Operational support models that balance service quality, resilience and commercial sustainability. - 06
Plan
A roadmap that connects AI investment decisions with measurable business outcomes.
Confidence to commit, before large-scale delivery
The organisation gained a clear understanding of the commercial implications of its AI strategy before committing to large-scale delivery. Leadership came away with:
- A validated AI investment strategy. Tested against the economics before any large-scale commitment.
- Visibility of AI operating costs. A clearer view of current and future costs as adoption grows.
- Stronger financial governance. Recommendations to improve cost efficiency and financial control.
- A scalable operating model. Aligned to business growth.
- Confidence in investment decisions. Grounded in business value rather than technology assumptions.
- A roadmap linked to business value. AI adoption connected to business value, operational readiness and long-term sustainability.
By focusing on AI cost economics and strategic advisory rather than technology delivery alone, InfraTech helped the organisation make informed decisions, reduce investment risk and build a foundation for sustainable AI adoption.
